Overview

Mint 🍭 is an app with various utilities for Aethen's Social Area

✨ features

• a fox command to replicate the fox bot 🦊 experience
• a commissions price calculator that gives estimates of prices for AethenLee's art commissions
• the calculator takes into account the number of characters, base style, positions, and extras for the art piece
• it is able calculate any discounts from the selected options as well as freebies
• users are also able to view art commissions posters and art examples
• a wiki-style command dedicated to AethenLee's Slendyblox series
• "information hub editors" (aka moderators) are able to dynamically add as many pages as needed
• each page contains a page of content (with a maximum of 4,000 characters) which can be added to and scrolled through as many times as needed in the page
• and each page of content can optionally contain up to 10 different image and video media
• this command took me over a week of PURE sweat to complete and i anticipate that it will be used 0 times !!

📋 formerly a verification app

• Mint 🍭 was formerly a verification gate which prompted new server members of Aethen's Social Area to fill a form out that the staff review before granted these new members access to the server
• included in the verification form was field for:
• a secret password found in the rules channel, ensuring that new members have scouted out the server rules
• an optional field for your nickname
• your pronouns
• an optional field for extra information about yourself
• once a verification form is sent, server staff can accept or deny applications based on these responses
• if a verification form is accepted, the new server member is granted access to the whole server
• if a verification form is denied, the new server member will have the opportunity to send another verification form
• this system is also inherently able to provide server raid protection, as all new members are manually screened by server staff
• despite Mint 🍭 being created in 2022, this verification gate operates similarly to discord's own rules screening and guilds features: introduced in 2023 and 2024 respectively
• this feature has since been replaced by discord's own server member applications
• to aid with this new verification gate system, Mint 🍭 is able to apply roles to new members after their server member applications get approved~
• Mint 🍭 may have more features in the future to aid with these server member applications!

❓ why the name Mint 🍭?

• ..uhm....i'm not exactly sure myself
• i assume it is some lore with @aethenlee.bsky.social's characters so go ask them lol
• i have also tried to update the general style of this app in an attempt to reference the character that Mint 🍭 is based off from in the slendyblox series
• i say that and have not attempted at all because it's all menus and no personalised text..
